Where to Watch the Super Bowl Locally

Here's where to catch the Big Game in Agoura and Calabasas.

The NFL football season is coming to a close with the highly anticipated match up of the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. And for the first time in Super Bowl history, two brothers will face off against each other as head coaches for each opposing team.

We've rounded up some local spots that will be airing the big game on TV in case you want to watch the showdown with a crowd. Or, you can turn to your favorite local restaurant for catering if you don't feel like cooking.

Agoura Hills

The Lab Brewing Company: Watch the big game on their 31-foot big screen while enjoying a tailgate menu, drink specials, shot girls and two football pools with a huge range of prizes. Make your reservation now.

Brendan's Irish Pub & Restaurant:

The pub will be offering their usual football drink specials while the game plays in the bar.

The Alamo Mexican Grill & Cantina:

This south-of-the-border restaurant will either cater to those who are having parties at home or to those who want the bar atmosphere.  In-house, they are offering drink specials and appetizers. Party platters are also available. And all to-go orders will be 20 percent off.

* Though Ladyface Alehouse & Brasserie will not be open during game time, you can still fill up your growlers and place to-go orders before 3 p.m.

Calabasas

Sagebrush Cantina

Watch the big game in the taco and beer zone starting at 2:30 pm. The cantina's party tent will have several large, hi-def TVs for up front viewing and a taco bar with meats grilled to order. The cantina's famous beer selection will be available. Admission is free. TVs will also be located throughout the restaurant including the spacious outdoor patio. Special brunch hours are 10 am - 3:30 pm. Reservations are advised.

Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Company

The restaurant will be offering Happy Hour all day long with $1.50 off all drafts.

Either way it is wrong and uses the race card as a "despicable stunt"

Not a hate crime at all. Just a very stupid kid trying to manipulate the system so he could beRead More granted a athletic transfer. One of the kids on the "hit list" was the perp. Really despicable stunt.

It is unfortunate that this incident happened at our local schools. The crime is a result ofRead More ignorance and lack of education. All members of our community regardless of their race, creed, or religion should be respected. Perhaps our community needs to introspect and see why this occurred and how further events can be prevented.

Thanks for your great perspective on this issue. We should all unplug once in awhile.

I think for the most part, people are mentally drained. Few take the time to sit back relaxRead More anymore. Even when we do have a minute to ourselves, we're constantly bombarded with emails, text messages and status updates. If we unplugged ourselves from our devices, we might find the serenity we all so desperately need. Turn your phone off, take a hike. Find a big tree next to a creek and sit under the shade. Enjoy nature. Listen to the sound of the water, the birds and the breeze as it moves through the brush. When you get back to nature, if only for a short time, you'll leave with a clear mind and feel revitalized. You're right---technology was supposed to make our lives more simple. Instead, it fuels the attention deficit disorder as our brain becomes a hashtag with a constant barrage of (often useless) news and updates. Although I'm young, I'd give anything to go back to the days where calling someone often led to a wild goose chase of finding an available payphone and spare change to make the call.

If you can't talk politics with friends without being able to agree to disagree or even end upRead More losing them as friends then they were not the "friends" you thought they were anyway.

It's not about moving forward, it's about saving your breath! That's the whole problem; too muchRead More talk and not enough action! You gonna eat that fish or just hold it up in the air?
Dave April 7, 2013 at 07:29 am
then again, if you only speak with people who agree with you, how do you ever move forward? aren'tRead More you just "spinning your wheels" staying in the same spot never moving forward?
