Water Board Reorganizes, Welcomes New Director

New officers are elected and new members are seated at the LVMWD first meeting of 2013.

At its first meeting of 2013, the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) Board of Directors welcomed newly elected Director Leonard E. Polan to the dais and elected new officers to fill board functions.

Charles Caspary (Division 1) was chosen to serve as President of the Board;
Glen Peterson was selected to serve as Vice President and will continue to represent LVMWD on the Board of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California; Barry Steinhardt (Division 5) was elected Secretary and Leonard Polan (Division 4) will serve as Treasurer for the District. Lee Renger (Division 3) completed his two-year term as president and will continue on as a board member. LVMWD board officers typically serve two-year terms in their respective functions; board members are elected by the public to represent their geographic divisions for four-year terms.

LVMWD provides potable water, recycled water and sewer services to some 65,000 residents of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Westlake Village, in addition to unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
