Update on Zoe Feldman, Courageous Child Battling Cancer

The Agoura Hills girl, who recently turned three, is returning to the hospital for serious surgery this week.

, the pre-schooler who was diagnosed last April with sarcoma botryoides–a malignant tumor of the muscles that are attached to the bones–must return to the hospital for more surgery, according to her father, Jeffrey Feldman.

"She has to go back to [Children's Hospital Los Angeles] on Tuesday, because she needs major surgery to remove [a tumor]," said Jeffrey Feldman.

The surgery, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, is very invasive and may affect major organs, according to Feldman.

Feldman said he and his wife, Ravit, have attempted to explain the condition to Zoe, but said she only understands so much.

"Over-all she's in high spirits," he said.

Thanks to family friends who spread the word about Zoe through fliers and support bracelets that read "Team Zoe," the community has become aware and involved in helping the Feldman family through fundraising and prayer.

In August, the Feldman's held a Celebration of Life party at in honor of Zoe's third birthday.

"More that 250 people turned out," said Feldman.

Currently, Feldman is keeping the community informed of Zoe's progress through posts on the family's Facebook page, "Zoe's Got This," which has 657 followers.

D-Day Is Coming

Real short, the operation is set for Wednesday, September 5th at 7:30am. She will be admitted the day before and they will have to insert a tube in her nose so they can clean her out completely which will lead to a very [expletive] night, pardon the pun. We are scampering for a few more opinions before the irreversible and irreplaceable is done on Wednesday. Now more than ever, we ask for your constant and most fervent prayers. Bye for now.

is accepting donations for the family, which Feldman says goes "100 percent" to her cause.
