Street Resurfacing for Reyes Adobe Road Through July

The City has begun its green resurfacing project of Reyes Adobe Road. Delays are expected through the end of the month.

Each year, the City of Agoura Hills resurfaces many of its streets as a
means to keep road and highways in good physical condition. An annual
program insures the streets are consistently maintained and provide
safe and smooth driving conditions

The City targets the highest priority areas first and has a program in place to address the quality of roadway throughout the City’s boundaries, including major arterials. A specific process called Cold In-Place Recycling has been selected to be used again. This method was utilized when rehabilitating Thousand Oaks Boulevard in the past and has been found to be a more
efficient, cost effective, and environmentally conscious process than methods used in the past. It is a process by which a large “train” of machinery performs a reuse of a potion of the existing asphalt.

Work is expected run through July 2012. Through traffic can still travel down Reyes Adobe Road during the resurfacing project but it is highly recommended that alternative routes are utilized as you can expect
some delays.
