Spring Break Camp 2012

Staying home during spring break?  Don't know what to do with your kids?  How about sending them to a camp that's event-filled, inexpensive and local.  Both the and the are offering several options for youngsters.

The Rec Center offers four camp experiences for the kids, each broken into age groups and activities. For more information, call 818-597-7361.

• Springtime Fun Camp - Ages 3-5 - offers crafts, games, cooking and lots of age appropriate activities. The hours are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the cost is $25 a day.
• Rec Club on the Go - Ages 5-10 - offers day trips to fun places in and around Agoura Hills.  Buses will transport the kids to such locales as Bright Child, the L.A. Zoo and Golf N Stuff. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the cost is $50 a day.
• Spring Soccer Camp - Ages 8-13 - kids learn the game of soccer from former US National Team and English Premier League player Ian Feuer. The hours are 2-4 p.m., and the cost is $150.
• Green Engineering with Legos - Ages 7-12 - offers kids the opportunity to design and build machines powered by alternative energy sources. The hours are 1-4 p.m., and the cost is $70.
• Super Fun Sports - Ages 5-12 - kids play all kinds of games with a twist all week long. The hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the cost is $125.

• Movies by Kids: Lego Animation - Ages 7+ - the hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and costs $175.
• Movies by Kids: IKids - Ages 7+ - the hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and costs $175.
• Play-Well Teknologies: Pre-Engineering - Ages 5-7 - the hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and costs $160.
• Play-Well Teknologies: Eng. Fundamentals - Ages 8-12 -the hours are 1-4 p.m. costs $160.
• Halo Performing Arts: Disney's Aladdin Jr. - Ages 7+- the hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $210.
• Peak Adventures: Space Academy - Ages 5+ - the hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and costs $120.
  
• Peak Adventures: Art Explosion - Ages 5+ - the hours are 12:15-3:15 p.m. and costs $120.
• Advantage Basketball: Ball Handling & Shooting - Ages 6+- the hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon-Thurs. Register online at advantagebasketball.com.
