Small Earthquake Felt in Agoura Hills

A magnitude 2.5 tremor was reported two miles west of the Agoura Hills post office early Sunday morning.

A magnitude 2.5 earthquake rumbled the Santa Monica Mountains north of Malibu early Sunday.

The minor tremor struck two miles west of the Agoura Hills post office at 5:29 a.m., according to automated seismographs operated by the U.S. Geological Service and California Universities.

About 225 people logged onto a USGS website by midmorning and reported feeling weak to mild shaking in Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Malibu, and the Conejo Valley.

Lt. Scott Chew of the  said no one phoned in reporting any damage after the earthquake.
