Western National Parks Association (WNPA), a nonprofit education partner of Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA), is hosting a Navajo trading post at King Gillette Ranch. The Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site Navajo Rug & Jewelry Show and Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the SMMNRA visitor center.

3. Suicide and Suicide Prevention: A Seminar

The , in conjunction with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, will host the 4th annual Conejo Valley Suicide Prevention seminar for adults and teens. Facts about suicide, risk factors and prevention approaches, personal survivor stories and a recent progress in suicide prevention will be discussed. An open forum will take place afterward. The program begins at 1 p.m.

4. Los Angeles Public Library Centennial Celebration

Join Rep. Henry Waxman and Councilmember Ilece Buckly Weber at for the special celebration of the 100th anniversary of the County of Los Angeles Public Library at 2 p.m. For the children, living legends performer, Susan Gallerito will apear as Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women.

5. Steele Pulse at the Canyon Club
