1. Rosh Hashanah

Jews all over the world are celebrating the new year–5772. In Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means, literally, "head of the year" or "first of the year." Rosh Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year, according to Judiasm 101. If you are still looking for a place to attend services over the next two days, go to the Chabad web site.
