Sept. 25: Bagel Brunch; Farmer's Market

Attend a brunch to raise money for wildlife, check out the farmer's market and listen to a faculty artist recital.

In anticipation of the Jewish New Year, head over to for a service of preparation and inspiration called Selichot, sponsored by The New Shul of the Conejo. The 9 a.m. service, led by Rabbi Michael Barclay and Cantor Harris Shore, will be followed by a 10 a.m. brunch.The donation for brunch is $12.

The California Wildlife Center, a nonprofit organization, has cared for more than 25,000 native animals since its founding in 1998. It is run by a dedicated small staff and trained volunteers who care for sick and injured wildlife. This fundraiser, beginning at 12 p.m., includes cuisine by top local chefs, live music, silent and live auctions, kid's wild zone with buffet and educational animals and wildlife release. 4. Farmers Market

Pick up fresh produce for all your delicious recipes, and check out the . The Agoura Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5835 Kanan Rd.

5. Faculty Artists Recital at Cal Lutheran

Music faculty members Daniel Geeting (clarinet), Melissa Phelps (violin) and Eric Kinsley (piano) present a program of chamber music works. The show starts at 2 p.m. on the Cal Lutheran campus, 60 W Olsen Rd., Thousand Oaks. For more information, click here.
