3. Les Miserables School Edition Auditions

4. Malibu Music Festival Week

Malibu Music Festival Week begins tonight at 7 p.m. and runs through Friday, Sept. 23, at local restaurants in Malibu. The shows will introduce new talent to the community, in addition to known guest appearances. For locations and more information, go to the web site.

5. 'The New Romantic Figure' Exhibit at Cal Lutheran

The Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture at California Lutheran University (60 W. Olsen Rd, Thousand Oaks) will open its fall season with a show of new romantic figurative paintings from several prominent artists in the Novorealist movement. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
