Pipeline Project Roadwork Update

Traffic will continue to be restricted between Kanan and Cornell Roads due to roadwork on the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District pipeline project.

Trench work on the Agoura Road segment is now complete; however, the excavation between Kanan and Cornell Roads must remain in place while "jack and bore" work continues at that location, restricting traffic to one lane.

is one part of the water district’s five-project back-bone system improvements, “a system of large water pipelines, storage tanks and pump stations that allow us to move water east and west across the district,” said David Lippman, director of facilities and operation.

Upcoming work includes finishing the installation of appurtenances and the removal of metal plates, followed by grinding and smoothing the pavement where trench work occurred.

Please note that all businesses and restaurants in the Agoura Road project area between Kanan and Cornell Roads are open and accessible during their normal business hours.

Residents are encouraged to visit the District's website at http://www.lvmwd.com/index.aspx?page=206 for updates on the progress of the project. Anyone with questions or concerns pertaining to this project may call the District's 24-hour recorded "hotline" at 818-251-2180.
