Yom Kippur, also known as Day of Atonement, is the holiest and most solemn day of the year for the Jews. According to Wikipedia, its central themes are atonement and repentance. Jews traditionally observe this holy day with a 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services. 3. Love, Be Loved, Grow Acoustic Afternoon at Agoura High School

is a special concert from 12-5 p.m. at to raise money in support for To Write Love On Her Arms, a non-profit website for teens and young adults suffering from depression, self injury, drug addiction and suicide. The cost of the event is $3, and there will be food, drinks, baked goods, shirts and TWLOHA apparel for sale.

4. Operation Wheels and Warriors

At 10 a.m., the Bob Hope USO at LAX will host Operation Wheels and Warriors, a car show to raise funds for the USO's programs to help troops and their families. K-EARTH 101 Morning Show host Gary Bryan will emcee. Farmers Insurance is a presenting sponsors. The event takes place at University of Farmers complex, 30801 Agoura Road. 5. The Underwood Family Farm's Folk Festival

The finest folk artists and musicians from in and around Ventura & LA Counties come to the Underwood stage. Those who play folk, old-time or Bluegrass are invited to come on out with your instrument, join a group and jam!
