4. Parent Education 101 at the Calabasas Library

Calabasas Library's Children Services Department Ally Godina and Jill Nevins will discuss the question: "What books should my kids be reading?" at 7 p.m. Booklists will be given and questions will be answered.

5. Free Screening of A Better Life at Pepperdine University

"A Better Life" is a profoundly moving portrait of a loving father working hard to give his only son opportunities beyond the lure of gangs and the threat of deportation. It is directed by Chris Weitz (About a Boy, New Moon). The screening is being held at and runs from 7-9 p.m. For all ages.
