Nov. 3: Design Camp Workshop; Free Improv Class

The public is invited to the new Recreation Center's workshop to view the property and talk directly to the project architects and offer your opinion. The workshop takes place at the actual site at 29900 Ladyface Ct. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, go to the website.

Explore the world of improvisational acting in a free improv class taught by Shaun Fleming and Stephanie Callas. Learn the art of creating in the moment as you explore techniques to develop freedom on stage. Check out the fun every Thursday from 6-7:15 p.m. for ages 10 to adult. 4. Free Cardio Pilates Class

Developed by celebrity trainer Mari Pratt. Xtreme60 (X60) is an all-in-one workout incorporating the treadmill, elliptical, Spin bikes, jump board, weights and Pilates all in one hour. The class is being held at 22237 Mulholland Hwy., Calabasas, at 5:30 p.m.

5. Summer and Smoke at Cal Lutheran

The Tennessee Williams play, directed by Susan Angelo, will be performed in the Preus-Brandt Forum at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Rd., Thousand Oaks, beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is $10.
