Update: 215 Customers Still Without Power

A tree fell into power lines, which were sparking on Canwood Street and Strawberry Hill Drive in Agoura Hills.

UPDATE: April 17 10:40 a.m.

All but 215 Southern California Edison customers have had their power restored as the result of a tree falling, knocking out power lines, according to Rudy Gonzales, regional manager.

"The tree that fell actually went through both a transmission line and a distribution line, which took out two circuits," Gonzales said.

Repair crews will remain will be working throughout the day to restore the remaining power outages, mainly north of Canwood Street near Strawberry Hill Drive; however, Gonzales warns that this may not occur until this evening.

More than 1,200 Southern California Edison customers were without power Tuesday in Agoura Hills.

The power went out just after 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to Edison.

A tree hit a power line near the fire station on Canwood Street and Strawberry Hill Drive, causing sparks, but no fire, said Lt. Robert Wiard of the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

Deputies have the street blocked off, Wiard said.

Power was expected to be restored by 11 p.m., according to the Southern California Edison website.
