Learn How to Protect Your Pet Against Rattlesnakes

The one-on-one training process is repeated several times to ensure that the dog understands the sight, smell and sound of a rattlesnake.

The Mountains Restoration Trust is offering a Rattlesnake Avoidance Training Clinic for Dogs to help protect pets from painful and sometimes fatal poisonous snake bites.

"As springtime calls people and snakes alike to the outdoors, encounters with snakes become inevitable," states the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's (CDFW).

Reservations are now being taken for the spring sessions being held April 20-21.

The one-on-one training process is repeated several times to ensure that the dog understands the sight, smell and sound of a rattlesnake.

As dogs forget the smell over a period of time, annual training is recommended. The clinic is conducted in a safe, humane, controlled environment ensuring the safety of dogs and  rattlesnakes.
