3. Sushi Demonstration at the Library

Chef Andy from the Sushi Chef Institute will demonstrate how to prepare a beautiful sushi meal. The class takes place at the beginning at 2 p.m.

4. Tropical Daze Music Festival

Enjoy "island treats and festive beats" at this two-day music festival celebrating island music and food. Bring the whole family and have a blast listening to live bands and eating delicious food–plus kids rides, booths and more. The event takes place at the Thousand Oaks Community Park, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free and prices for rides and food vary.

5. Seabee Days

Learn about our country's Naval Forces, also known as Seabees, at this exciting event. Watch construction demonstrations, participate in hands-on activities, witness a military parade and enjoy live music and food. The event takes place at Port Hueneme Naval Base, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
