Jazzing Up The Old Adobe

In the face of rain, locals picnic and the band plays on at the Reyes Adobe Historical Site.

Despite a cloud covering over the Reyes Adobe, local residents laid out blankets and picnic dinners and soaked up the on-site community jazz band on Saturday evening as part of the City of Agoura Hills' summer series.

Chad Roberts & The Mulholland Drivers, minus lead singer Chad Roberts himself, entertained guests at the historic property until dusk with jazz staples spanning "All of Me," "The Way You Look Tonight," and of course, "Singing in the Rain." In the face of drizzle, the band played on.

The Park and Recreation Center's Camp Agoura Hills provided additional activities for the concert's younger guests and the Historical Site's many docents offered free tours of the Adobe.
