High Energy Dog for Family on the Go

Riley will be great for an active family.

Riley, a one-year-old female German shepherd mix was brought to the shelter because her owner was moving and couldn’t take her along.

Here are some things you should know about her:

  • She is housebroken.
  • She is good with small dogs and cats.
  • She loves to splash around in the water and play.
  • He has been walking well on leash.
  • She is still a puppy and has the energy of one.

She hasn’t had training and still has a lot of puppy-like behaviors such as jumping up, but she is easily corrected. She is just an energetic, sweet girl who needs an owner/family that will give her consistent positive training and exercise on a daily basis. She will learn and grow into the well-trained obedient dog she is meant to be.

She has been working out on the treadmill with certified professional dog trainer Rob Lerner who also volunteers his time at the shelter and she is doing great! Watch the video to see her concentrate, stay focused and get some exercise, but don't try this at home unless you are properly instructed as you or your dog could be injured if not instructed properly.

To choose Riley, request ID A4491759. The Agoura Hills Animal Shelter is at 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. Occasionally pets have already been adopted. To check availability, call 818-991-0071 or visit the website.
