I am heading east to my old stomping grounds, New York City, as well as to Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains for a very special birthday "girls-only" trip for my soon-to-be 7-year-old daughter, Mia Rose.
We will be visiting family as well as doing touristy things like sailing to Liberty and Ellis Islands. Of course, there will be the obligatory shopping and dining sprees and lots of photos to be taken.
I'm looking forward to a jam-packed, fun trip which will probably require another vacation to recover, but I won't worry about that now. I'll be back August 6th.
