City Seeks Volunteers for Reyes Adobe Days

Plans are now underway for this year's big event celebrating Agoura's 30th anniversary.

The City of Agoura Hills is now seeking volunteers for the 8th Annual Reyes Adobe Days (RAD) coming this fall October 5 - 7, part of the city's 30th anniversary celebration.

Service organizations, church groups, youth groups, teens and individuals are needed to help put on the three-day festival featuring cultural entertainment, music, historical demonstrations, activities and recreation for all ages.

Most events are centered at the , a museum on local history and culture, and are free to the public. RAD hosts over 15,000 attendees during the weekend.

Group and individual volunteers may serve in both the planning and production of RAD events: a Senior Fiesta, Night at the Adobe, art gallery, parade, Day at the Adobe, pancake breakfast, run and gymkhana.

Planning support includes such activities as procurement of materials needed, organization, decorations, event set up and other assignments. Event support during the festival includes helping in activity areas, traffic, information booths, and assigned areas as needed. Volunteers will receive recognition or community service credits for their participation.
