Battle of the Sportsbots

An innovative camp, sponsored by Parks & Recreation, that engages young engineers and architects.

School's out and the kids are in camp. Each week throughout the summer, we will visit a different Agoura Hills camp and find out what's keeping our kids busy.

This week's camp: Sportsbot Camp

An invasion has begun in Agoura Hills, an invasion of the sportsbot, skillfully crafted by the campers at the Sportsbots Camp presented by the .

"We take sports-oriented games, and we turn them into Lego-functioning games...so we'll play sports like ice hockey, quidditch, soccer and miniature golf," said Bryan Horstmanshof, head instructor from Play Well Teknologies.

The camp nurtures skills like engineering and architecture, said Horstmanshof.

"What I like best best about this camp is you get to design your own thing, and they don't just tell you how to do it, you have to figure out your way to do it," said Justin Gardener, 8.
