Aug. 19: Food Trucks and The Romantics

Help raise money for Sumac's L-STEM program, check out The Lakes' farmer's market and see The Romantics at the Canyon Club.

2. L-STEM Academy Food Truck Fundraiser

A $5 donation per family (up to six people) gets access to LA food trucks, including Slammin Sliders, NomNom Truck, The Dosa Truck, Lee’s Philly, the Shrimp Pimp Truck, NoResCatering Truck, King Kone & Maui Wowi. Food is an additional cost. The event runs from 5-8:30 p.m.

3. The Romantics at the Canyon Club

The 80s pop band performs at 9 p.m. and tickets are $20.

4. Farmers Market at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks

Come purchase organic fruits and vegetables from California growers between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Stay for lunch at Nate ‘n Al, and they will store your purchases in their refrigerator to keep them fresh.

5. Summer Beach Bus

Take advantage of these last few days of the program.The bus transports from three pick-up locations in Agoura Hills to Zuma Beach in Malibu. Bring a photo ID (Driver's License, School ID, or a home-made emergency contact card will suffice) and your exact change of $2.00 each way. All ages are welcome; however, this program is "public transportation" and does not offer supervision. Download the Schedule here.
