The Agoura Scene: Ladyface Alehouse and Brasserie

A behind-the-scenes look at the new pub in town.

Ever wonder what that new cafe in town actually offers? Dying to try that meal everyone is raving about? Guess what. We have, or will be. We'll stop by some of your old favorites and make sure to introduce you to some new ones. We're the Agoura Scene. Join us. Reservation for two please.

Ladyface Alehouse and Brasserie, located in Agoura Hills, is the first and only microbrewery and gastro-pub in the Conejo Valley, run by brewmaster David Griffiths and General Manager and proprietor Cyrena Nouzille.

"We love what we do and we're all about creating things naturally and buying locally," Nouzille says.

Ladyface specializes in making craft style beer, which cannot be found anywhere else, according to Griffiths. In addition to their traditional Blonde, Porter and Ladyface IPA, the alehouse also serves seasonal beers that change many times during the year.

"What we try and focus on amongst all the beers, whether it's American or Belgium style beer, is making unique flavors," says Griffiths, who puts a "Ladyface spin" on all of his unique brews. "I think that our passion for beer and what we're doing transfers directly into a pint glass and people can actually taste that."

The food is just as noteworthy as the beer thanks to Ladyface's executive chef Ray Luna. He draws his inspiration from Belgian and French brasserie-style food, which customers can taste in the variety of frites-related dishes: pommes-frites (French fries), moules-frites (mussels and fries) and steak-frites (steak and fries).

The staff is as warm and inviting as the colorful décor and beautiful view of Ladyface Mountain from the patio.

Ladyface Alehouse is truly one of the best things to happen to Agoura in a long time--their pommes-frites are to die for, and their croque monsieurs are the best! Great video!
