Starbucks Open For Business

Following a minor renovation, the Starbucks on Kanan Rd. is now open for business.

Customers seeking their morning lattes and cappucinos filed in to the newly renovated on Kanan Rd. Friday morning. The coffee house, closed to the public for five days, received a "minor face-lift," according to David Crow, the store manager.

"Every few years, Starbucks likes to do some remodeling, update the look," he said.

According to Crow, most of the work was done behind the counter, including the addition of extra barista space and cabinetry, as well as the purchase of new furniture for the customers.

Regular John Kilpatrick said that he was impressed with the changes. "The barista area is noticeably larger, which is probably geared to be more efficient to serve people faster," he said. "One of the biggest complaints about the place before was the long lines, and I don't see that happening today."

Crow expressed satisfaction that the store opened on its target date. "Just like the 405 freeway," he said.
