Gas Prices Decreasing

Gas prices are on a slow decline, and Patch found the lowest Agoura prices at the pumps.

Gas prices are decreasing little by little, according to a report from City New Service Monday. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell for the 10th consecutive day, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.23, said the CNS report.

"The average price is 5.2 cents less than one week ago, but 2.1 cents
more than one month ago and $1.109 higher than it was one year ago, according
to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service," said CNS.

Analysts credit the decreases to the declining cost of crude oil, which accounts for two-thirds to three-quarters of the price of a gallon of gasoline, according to Tupper Hull of the Western States, said the report.
