The Los Angeles Times and The Chicago Tribune have called Fred Stone the most famous painter of horses in the world. His work hangs in the homes of some of the world's most notable people, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and in the office of President George W. Bush in the White House. He has been featured on NBC, ABC and ESPN television.

Over the past thirty-six years, over 90 percent of his limited edition prints have been sold out, with some of them fetching as much as $10,000 on the secondary market. More people own a Fred Stone print than that of any other horse artist in history, making him the most sought after equine artist in the world (US Art Magazine).

Stone's poster titled Partners, which depicts a fireman and his search dog, has now raised over one half million dollars for the ASPCA, Canine Search & Rescue, the Oklahoma Memorial and the families of firemen who died on 9/11. This poster now hangs in the White House.

His large murals adorn the walls of many major race tracks, hotels, homes and casinos throughout North America and Europe, including Moscow, Russia. His mural titled Longchamp Paris, the world's largest equine mural measuring 14 feet tall by 120 feet, can be seen in the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.

Jack Klugman, well known actor and horseman, said it best about Fred Stone's work: "These aren't just paintings; they are history."

The exhibit is in support of and will benefit the Greater Conejo Valley’s Tourism Initiative in which the visual arts are expected to play an important role. This event is made possible, in part, by the cooperative efforts of the Guild, the City of Thousand Oaks Cultural Affairs Department and the City of Agoura Hills’ Cultural Arts Council.
