High School Student Plays With Glass

Stained-glass artist Arielle Dubowe is one-of-a-kind, and so is her work.

Each week, Agoura Hills Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid.

This week's Whiz Kid is 16-year-old Arielle Dubowe. She first took stained-glass as an elective at Agoura High. Now, two years later, she is a committed stained-glass artist, creating beautiful and distinctive works of art. Dubowe even set up a stained-glass studio in her home, using funds she earned babysitting, to pursue her passion.

While working with stained-glass is her hobby, she aspires to a career in the field of architecture, either as a set designer for motion pictures, or as an interior designer. In addition to her glass work, she is an accomplished architectural drawing artist.
