The Summer Art Academy Art Camp is in it's 4th year at the formerly-named Heschel West Day School campus. Run Ashley Crosner, camp director, and owner David Wohlstadter, the camp offers a unique experience for its campers.
Featuring a variety of traditional and non-traditional camp activities like fencing, hula dancing, cooking, theater, lego robotics and computers in addition to art instruction in a myriad of different mediums like paint, pastels, paper and other materials, this camp caters to a multitude of interests.
Art camp is divided into two sections, Art Camp 101 for the pre-k set and Art Camp for campers ages 7 - 11. According to Crosner, the camp staff is comprised of enrichment specialists, bachelor of arts graduates, Le Cordon Bleu chefs, and performing arts professionals with years of experience working with children.
"Each one brings passion and expertise to each workshop," said Crosner. "The staff is dedicated to creating a fun, educational, and exciting summer experience for your child."
