The Agoura Hills / Calabasas Community Center and HALO Performing Arts Academy, Inc. proudly present the musical play "A Holiday Wizard of Oz" by Katherine Schultz Miller of ArtReach Plays. It's the classic story with a twist, or rather a blizzard, that carries Dorothy and Toto to Magical Elfinsland where Glinda is the Good Witch of the North Pole! Dorothy must get home, so she sets off to meet the Wizard who lives in the Great Palace of Toys.
Through her adventures with her new friends, the snowman, the toy soldier and the lion, Dorothy learns that the real gifts of Christmas are family, friends and love and that nothing in life is more important than wisdom, caring and courage. With fun and clever lyrics set to seasonal classics with a contemporary flair, "A Holiday Wizard of Oz" is sure to bring joy to your heart!
The show stars Conejo Valley's Kennedy Moore as Dorothy, an amazingly talented twelve year old girl. Kennedy, who was unable to communicate until the age of eight due to autism, shines as the lead in the production. Director Angelique Daugherty of Calabasas is extremely proud of her cast of phenomenal performers of all ages residing throughout Calabasas and Ventura County.
