13-Year-Old Performer to be Crowned 'Outstanding Teen'

Agoura Hills' Elizabeth Sams will take the Miss San Fernando Valley's title next month, according to the Ventura County Star.

 

Agoura Hills resident Elizabeth Sams, 13, a local performer is about to be crowned in the Miss San Fernando Valley contest, according to a report in the Ventura County Star.

Sams, who has opened for Wilson Phillips, the Ramones and the Little River Band at the Canyon Club, will garner the title of Outstanding Teen at a special ceremony in February. She plans to compete for the state title at the California Miss America contest in Fresno in June, said the report.

Sams, an eighth-grader at Oaks Christian Middle School, has an original song on iTunes entitled "Dear Veteran," a tribute to the country's military men and women, said the Star.
