March 31: Warm Weather and Chicana/o Art

1. The Forecast: Sunny, 91

It will be sunny with a high near 91, dropping to a low of 56, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast calls for breezy conditions with a northeast wind 20 to 25 miles per hour, decreasing to between 5 and 10 miles per hour. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.  tonight will be clear with a west wind at 5 miles per hour, becoming north-northeast.

2. Chicana/o Art: Tradition and Transformation at Cal Lutheran

By juxtaposing the dual impulses of tradition and transformation, Charlene Villaseñor Black brings to light key moments in the history of Chicana/o art from the 1970s through the 1990s. The program runs 5-6 p.m. and admission is free. Event will take place in the Roth Nelson Room. Co-sponsored by the Center for Equality and Justice and the Art Department, and made possible with funding from the President’s Diversity Council. 3. Y&T at the Canyon Club

The Bay Area rockers make a stop at the club. Doors open at 6 p.m., showtime is at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $20.
