Tucson School District Banned Books Display in Newbury Park

People concerned about censorship can stop by the table outside the Newbury Park Library, where the Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalists Fellowship (CVUUF) will display some of the 83 books recently banned by the Tucson Arizona School District. Tucson public school students can no longer read works by famous authors like James Baldwin, Sandra Cisneros, Henry David Thoreau, Howard Zinn, S. Alexie, and others. We will be reading excerpts from banned books, discussing the impact of Arizona’s HB2281 law, and accepting book donations.
