Amgen Tour Road Closures for Sunday

From the city of Agoura Hills:

Road Closure Notice for Agoura Road- On Sunday, May 18, the city of Agoura Hills will be co-hosting the Amgen Tour of California. The final stage of the bike race will begin approximately at 8:4 5a.m., and includes three 20-mile loops that will pass through Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, and a portion of Los Angeles County.

A section on the north side of Agoura Road will be closed for westbound traffic between Cornell Road to the westerly limits (Archstone Apartments).  Drivers will be able to use Roadside Drive as a detour route.  For those wishing to travel eastbound, the south side of Agoura Road will run under “rolling road closures,” meaning the route will close prior to the race’s arrival and will re-open once the last race vehicle has passed.

Please be sure to adhere to the instructions given by race officials, marshals and law enforcement agencies. They will be there to ensure the route is secure and safe for everyone – riders, media, race staff and spectators alike. Please do not attempt to join or cross the caravan, or more importantly, leave before the last vehicle passes. Road closures along the route will be kept to a minimum, but long enough to ensure the security of fans and riders. If you are a spectator, please be sure to stay far enough back from the road so that the cyclists may pass unimpeded.
