Join the Reyes Adobe Days Parade

The City of Agoura Hills invites organizations, groups, businesses and individuals to join the 9th Annual Reyes Adobe Days parade coming Saturday, October 5, as part of the Reyes Adobe Days weekend festival. Entries may be floats, classic cars, or entertainment acts. Awards will be presented to the best entries after the parade on the Reyes Adobe Days main stage. Celebrity Grand Marshal for the 2013 parade is ABC’s general assignment reporter Elex Michaelson, who has won four Emmy awards for his reporting.

The approximate mile-long parade begins at 10:00 am, starting at Yerba Buena School (6900 block of Reyes Adobe Road) and leads to the Reyes Adobe Historical Site, 5464 Reyes Adobe Road, kicking off the Day at the Adobe, The free weekend festival features rancho themed activities, pony rides, petting zoo, historical demonstrations, two performance stages, music, Art@theAdobe gift gallery, Ladyface Ale beer and wine garden, food trucks, and more.

The deadline for joining the Reyes Adobe Days Parade is Friday, September 27, at 4:00 p.m. Applications containing all entry requirements are online at www.reyesadobedays.org -- parade link or at the City of Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Agoura Hills, CA 91301.  For more information, call (818) 597-7361.
