LOCAL CHURCH PACKAGES 51,000 MEALS FOR HAITI
Agoura Hills, CA August 1, 2012…Life Change Community Church of Agoura Hills did the remarkable this past Sunday, July 29. In partnership with an international missions organization, the members of Life Change used their Sunday morning service times (9:00 and 10:30) to package FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND meals for the hungry of Haiti!
Pastor Brad Johnson stated, “All of our chairs were removed and we had 18 folding tables in the auditorium in order to pack 51,000 individual meals. The church became a meal factory for the hungry during both of our morning services.”
This two year old congregation of 350 people, which meets in the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel Ballroom in Agoura Hills, is becoming known as a church that cares for those in need and for those needing a fresh start and second chance in life.
Life Change Community Church has a rich history of missions and compassion. From their work to complete a Habitat for Humanity house, to their work in a poor Mexican village, to their cooking and serving breakfast to the homeless in the Valley, to their sponsorship of under-resourced children in Africa, Life Change is all about ‘Changing Lives!”
