Do you have new or gently used youth baseball gloves, catcher's equipment, batting tees, sets of bases or baseballs?
If so, drop them off day on Sunday, February 10th from 12-5 p.m. at the Agoura High School teachers’ parking lot.
Agoura High School Baseball is partnering with Pitch in for Baseball (PIFB) to spread America’s favorite pastime to impoverished communities across the globe.
"The sport of baseball is a great way for youth to participate in a healthy activity while learning life lessons like teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and community service." says AHS Varsity Baseball Coach Mike Cordero.
PIFB president David Rhode agreed and added, "Getting local organizations to run equipment drives is the key to the success of Pitch In For Baseball. We're ecstatic that AHS Baseball has stepped up to the plate and is helping us out."
Also, monetary donations help us store and ship baseball equipment to children across the globe as well as purchasing new equipment. Donations of the following amounts provide the kids with these specific benefits:
• $30 provides equipment for one child
• $440 provides equipment for one team
• $950 provides equipment and uniforms, plus shipping costs, for one team
• $3500 provides equipment for one league of eight teams
• $7200 provides equipment and uniforms, plus shipping costs, for one league.
Your donation will do so much to help kids play baseball all over the world.
