The Agoura High School Dance team began the New Year with top honors last weekend at the Sharp International Dance Competition in Beverly Hills, placing first in Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Contemporary categories and earning Grand Champion in the overall.
Junior Renee Trajano captured the highest marks in the competition for her first place soloist win with 90.5 points. Dance team directors Debi Poppen and Jackie Wessely and coaches Brette Markowitz and Kylie Poppen were pleased all the hard work paid off so well.
