Terrific Tuesdays: Teen Ukulele Lesson, Beach Walk

1. Today will be sunny with a high near 88, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Take the kids to a free movie in an air-conditioned theater. Muvico is offering its Summer Film Fest in Thousand Oaks (166 West Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks). Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is this week's selection, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

3. Take the Malibu Lagoon Beach Walk from 8-10 a.m. The four mile walk begins at Surfrider Beach and goes into the Colony. Meet at Surfrider parking lot. Bring water, snack, hat and sunscreen. Rain cancel. 818-787-5420.

4. Do you like the ukulele music of Bruno Mars, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Adele and Jason Mraz? Then this two-day introductory ukulele class is for you. No experience is required, and ukuleles will be provided. The class is limited to 15 teens, ages 12-18. Register for this free class at the library.

5. Take the kids to the Commons at Calabasas (4799 Commons Way) every Tuesday at 6 p.m. for a weekly dose of fun, including music, dance, arts, crafts, entertainment and so much more!
