Sweet Shop Replacing Blockbuster Video Storefront
Sweet XO will be taking residence in the old Blockbuster Video space.
A new frozen yogurt and sweet shop will open up in the former Blockbuster Video store, according to city officials.
"From what I understand, a frozen yogurt shop is going in where Blockbuster was. It’s called Sweet XO," said Monica Hanson, accounting specialist for the City of Agoura Hills, in an email to Patch.
According to a recent posting on Craigslist, "Sweet XO's will combine frozen yogurt, candy, cupcakes, desserts, Zipz shoes, a modern interpretation of the Root Beer float, Hot Cocoa and an array of merchandise into one location."
The Blockbuster Video store at 5825 Kanan Road closed its doors in the summer of 2011.

I would like to see a Follow Your Heart Market/Restaurant. The nearest one is in Canoga Park...too far away.

I also would LOVE to see an independent book store in that space. With Starbucks next door it would be a wonderful fit and the only independent book store left nearby is in Malibu. The only problem is the rent for that space would most likely be prohibitive.

Pikeys Pub! kidding - didn't need it before, don't need it again. like idea of bookstore but that's really tough biz - i migrated to kindle and i thought i never would. follow your heart anywhere else would be like malibu seafood in reseda - doesn't fit. a good healthy food place would be great and it seems as though popular opinion here at least agrees.

A place for kids and parents to spend quality time aside from the home. Play area and coffee lounge (delivered there by starbucks?) with a bowling alley for the pre-teens and plasma/flat tvs all around so that the Dads do not miss the games/ or sport news..while waiting for the moms gossips to end and the screaming kids to be tired ..I wish I could say a per the hour babysitting place next to a wine and/or dance club, that so the large bunch of single parents from this area could relax! hahhaha ... but of course that will be pushing our luck!
