Sept. 16: Food Truck Fundraiser; Music in Motion

Punk out at the Canyon Club, pick up fresh produce at the Farmers Market and grab some grub at the L-STEM Food Truck Fundraiser.

 

1. The Forecast: Sunny, 80

It will be cloudy through mid morning with gradual clearing and a high near 80, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight skies will be cloudy with a low around 51.

2. Sumac L-Stem Academy Food Truck Fundraiser

Bring the family to the Sumac Elementary L-STEM Academy Playground for a yummy Food Truck Fundraiser from 5-8 p.m. A $5.00 donation per family (up to 6 people) allows you access to some of the most popular food trucks in LA, including: Slammin Sliders, NomNom, Grilled Cheese Patrol, Jogasaki Sushi Burrito, Auntie’s FryBread, Lake Street Creamery, Sweet E’s Bake Shop & Maui Wowi. (Food is an additional cost)

3. Fear and Agent Orange at the Canyon Club

Get ready to punk out! LA's own Fear, a band that helped shape the sound and style of American hardcore punk, will co-headline with Agent Orange, one of the first bands ever to mix punk rock with surf music. Show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are $20.

4. Music in Motion at the Library

Take your little ones for some fun with music and dance. The class is free and starts at 9:30 a.m.

5. Farmers Market at the Lakes in Thousand Oaks

Come purchase organic fruits and vegetables from California growers from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Stay for lunch at Nate ‘n Al and they will store your purchases in their refrigerator to keep them fresh.
