Agourans Find Themselves 'Born to Run'

Several dozen runners took advantage of running alongside 'Born to Run' author Christopher McDougall in the 'One City, One Book' Run & Grub on Wednesday.

Running enthusiasts and fans of Christopher McDougall's Born to Run gathered at on Wednesday evening to participate in the 'One City, One Book' Run & Grub, a 3.2 mile loop that ended back at .

This year's selection was chosen by a committee consisting of the , Friends of the Library and members of the community, according to Zach Miller, City Recreation Manager.

"Because Mayor Edelston's initiative is healthy cities, we felt that the running nature of Agoura Hills was a perfect fit for the program this year," said Miller "And when an edition of Born to Run came before the committee, we felt it fit so well we had to take advantage of it."

Following the run, The Lab offered free drinks to each of the participants and donated 15 percent of the food and beverage purchases thereafter to the .
